The Caltech Hotline provides students, faculty, and staff with a means of communicating concerns about potential violations of Institute policies, laws or regulations, unethical behavior, conflicts of interest, actual or suspected fraud, or other improper actions, without fear of retribution. It is also a means for obtaining advice before making decisions that appear to have significant compliance or ethical implications.

Totem, Caltech's literary and visual arts magazine, is an annual publication that consists of poems, essays, short stories, photography, drawings, and other artwork submitted by the Caltech community. Students on staff volunteer their time to collect and showcase these pieces.
