Measuring the Impact of Inclusive Teaching in Your Classroom Workshop

Do you want to make your course more inclusive, but aren't sure if your changes are effective? As educators, we want to create inclusive learning environments that supports all our students' learning. How can you assess if your teaching practices are having the positive effects you hope for? In this workshop, we will explore how a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) approach can help you investigate student inclusiveness within your own teaching context. We will use the Utrecht Roadmap for SoTL to examine our desired outcomes, our teaching methods, and the mechanisms that link these together. You will create testable research questions and brainstorm viable methods to measure how changes in your teaching impact your students and their sense of inclusion.
