2019 Undergraduate Research Mentoring Series: Effective Communication and Feedback

The Undergraduate Research Mentoring Series, a collaboration between Student-Faculty Programs and the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Outreach, is a set of eight summer workshops designed to support your mentoring efforts. Workshops are held from 12:00 to 1:15 pm; lunch will be provided with RSVP starting at 11:45 am.

Effective Communication and Feedback

This workshop will engage participants in methods and strategies for:

  • Understanding your and your mentee's communication styles
  • Providing constructive feedback to undergraduate researchers
  • Strategies for effective communication
  • Helping students move toward independence
