ABCs of Course Design - A CTLO Short Course for the Caltech Community

Are you hoping to be the instructor of record for a course or interested in course design? Dr. Jennifer Weaver, Assistant Director of the CTLO, will again be teaching a 3-session short course primarily aimed at those who have not taught a course before (including graduate students, post-docs, faculty and staff). We'll walk through the process of "backwards design" from start to finish, including designing learning outcomes, incorporating active learning activities, developing assessments, and building the overall class structure. By the end of this short course, you will have the main tools you need to design a great class of your own!

This course will run for three consecutive Thursdays on May 18th and 25th, and June 1st from 3-4:30pm.
