From Mars to the Stars: Exploring New Worlds

I will present a somewhat personal account of my own adventures in planetary exploration -- at JPL, then at The Planetary Society and then at Caltech: Keck Institute for Space Studies. The talk will describe some ideas like the Mars Balloon which began as a SURF project at Caltech, the search for extraterrestrial life, solar sailing and recent work on the Asteroid Retrieval Mission and Exploring the Interstellar Medium.
