Algebra and Geometry Seminar

The geometric Langlands conjecture says that for irreducible local systems on a curve, one can attach corresponding Hecke eigensheaves. In the unramified case, this is known for GL_n by the work of Frenkel-Gaitsgory-Vilonen, but only a few cases are known in the ramified case. We construct the Hecke eigensheaves explicitly for an important class of ramified local systems called hypergeometric sheaves, generalizing the work of Heinloth-Ngo-Yun in the case of GL_n.
