Alpine Club Talk

The winter of 2017 set record snowfall across the western united states. It was possible to ski later and steeper than many previous winters. Many amazing memories come from this past winter but two stuck out. First was a trip I made to the Tetons to attempt to ski the South Teton, Middle Teton, and Grand Teton back to back. This was ultimately a failure, but good skiing was had by all. The second trip was in May and was a traverse of the Sierra Nevada by a new route. We started like everyone else in Wolverton in Sequoia National Park and made our way to the top of Mount Whitney. This was especially meaningful because last time I tried to ski Whitney I tore my ACL and meniscus.
