Ballroom Dance Club Orientation Party

Come enjoy a night of social dancing and spectacular showcases as we kick the year off with our Intro Night Party. It's the perfect opportunity to meet new people! A free introductory dance lesson to get you started, a nice spread of refreshments, and an excellent mix of music--primarily Modern Jive but with a few surprises mixed in--to entertain late into the night. Plus, don't miss our fabulous showcase performances!

Don't worry if you've never danced before--the night starts out with a free lesson, and we'll have a teaching corner running for most of the night to help you get up to speed. Everyone's welcome to our first event of the new school year!

Schedule: 8:00 - 9:00 PM: Modern Jive lesson taught by Hannah Hoersting. Friendly to complete beginners--come, bring your friends, and learn how to dance! 9:00 - 10:00 PM: General dancing. Mostly modern jive, with a few surprises mixed in. Show off your new moves! 10:00 - 10:10 PM: Peformances by caltech dancers and by guests from other colleges. See what other dances we teach, and check out the talent from other colleges in Southern California. 10:10-Midnight and beyond: more dancing!
