Bandorama

The program for this annual concert featuring the Caltech-Occidental Concert Band the Caltech Jazz Bands will feature:

• Star Life, a new work for concert band by band member Les Deutsch, an alumnus of Caltech who works at JPL as Interplanetary Network and Information Systems Chief Engineer. The performance of Star Life will be accompanied by images from Caltech's Spitzer Space Telescope.
• music by Percy Grainger and Frank Tichli
• guest conductor, David Miller, Pasadena High School band director
• at least four separate vocalists from the Jazz Bands performing (think American Idol)

This same program will be performed on Saturday, May 12th. A free reception for all will follow the concerts.
