13th is a 2016 Documentary directed by Ava DuVernay. Centered on race in the United States criminal justice system, the film is titled after the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which outlawed slavery (except as punishment for a crime). Join the CCD as we screen and discuss this documentary to launch Black History Month 2017 at Caltech! Dinner will be served. Please RSVP.
