Caltech Associates: Brain + Gut
The Future of Medicine
Within our gastrointestinal tract, 100 trillion bacteria are growing, thriving, and accessing the deepest regions of our brain. Professor Sarkis Mazmanian, a 2012 recipient of the MacArthur "genius" fellowship, was one of the first scientists to study the brain-gut connection. Hear directly from Professor Mazmanian about his research that is enabling new treatments of autism and Parkinson's disease.
We are delighted to invite you to this online event with Professor Mazmanian. This talk, originally scheduled for April in Orange County, will now be accessible to all Associates and friends of the Caltech community.
