Brocelïande plays Celtic music from the British Isles, and Medieval and Renaissance music of the European courts and countrysides. They place a special emphasis on music inspired by or traditionally performed during each of the four seasons.

Brocelïande has now released Jig of Life, their tribute CD to summer, completing their season's series, and though it may not be a perfect fit for this December show, it rounds out their strong repertoire. Our hope is that they will include some songs in their show from The Starlit Jewwll, a collection of songs from The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, and music by the last fantasy author, Marion Zimer Bradleyas, as well as Broceliande's Margaret Davis and former bandmember Kristoph Klover. This treat is especially well-timed, with Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey scheduled to be released the next week. Featuring stellar vocal and instrumental harmonies, their entrancing sound is built on the interweaving of up to three-part vocals with the lyrical music of the Celtic harp, octave mandolin, cello, 12-string guitar, recorders, flute, gamba, whistle, percussion and more.
