Caltech Associates: Holiday Luncheon with Mike Brown and Katherine de Kleer
Jupiter's Moons
Professor Mike Brown and Professor Katherine de Kleer are part of the Caltech Center for Comparative Planetary Evolution (3CPE) where they work to unite core topics for Caltech and JPL such as geochemistry and planetary science as part of an interdisciplinary effort that seeds collaborative research projects. 3CPE will deepen the understanding of our solar system, aid the hunt for new Earth like worlds, and further the quest to understand the origin of life on this planet. Professor Brown focuses on Europa (icy) and is working with NASA on an upcoming mission. Professor de Kleer focuses on Io's (fire) hidden history and its volcanically active body.
