Caltech Associates Virtual Event: Lunar Water: Traveling to Mars, But First the Moon
Hear Bethany Ehlmann, Professor of Planetary Science, discuss one of the most surprising discoveries of the last decade—the detection of water on the Moon's surface—and the quest to map it. All are invited to attend this family-friendly event.
As the Principal Investigator of the Caltech-led Lunar Trailblazer mission, Professor Ehlmann seeks to answer big planetary questions like: How much water is on the Moon? What form does it take? Could it be used as a natural resource? The mission's findings will enable humans to safely return to the Moon and provide insight for future space exploration to Mars and beyond.
Join in at home and design your own mission! Professor Ehlmann encourages everyone to get creative and participate in a friendly lunar mission competition. View details here. The top three winners will be announced at the event.
