Caltech Associates Westside Event: Meet Caltech's First Female Nobel Laureate
Join Frances Arnold, a 2018 Nobel laureate and the Linus Pauling Professor of Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering and Biochemistry, for an engaging conversation about how she helped transform the field of chemistry by using the principles of evolution to create new and more effective enzymes that have been used to improve alternative energy, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. Then, hear behind-the-scenes stories of her journey since being named a Nobel Prize winner, from the 4 a.m. Nobel Committee phone call to the award ceremony in Stockholm. Priority registration will be given to Associates Westside members.
