Caltech Ballroom Dance Club Intro Night Party

Come enjoy a night of ballroom/social dancing and spectacular showcases as we kick the year off with our Intro Night Party. It's the perfect opportunity to meet new people! A free introductory dance lesson to get you started, a nice spread of refreshments, and an excellent variety of music--West Coast swing, Ballroom, Tango, and Salsa--to entertain late into the night. Plus, don't miss our fabulous showcase performances!

Don't worry if you've never danced before--the night starts out with a free lesson, and we'll have a teaching corner running for most of the night to help you get up to speed. Everyone's welcome to our first event of the new school year!

Schedule:

8:00 - 9:00 PM: West Coast Swing Lesson with Neil Halelamien and Hannah Hoersting
9:00 - 9:10 PM: Demonstration dancers
9:10 - 10:30 PM: General Dancing with DJ Jay Daigle
10:30 - 10:45 PM: Showcases and performances
10:45 PM - closing: General Dancing with DJ Neil Halelamien


Cost:

  • FREE for Caltech/JPL affiliates and for other full-time students
  • Donations appreciated from all others
