Caltech Common Threads Initiative

Where were you when the fires broke out on January 7th? What turned out to be massive and disastrous wildfires directly affected a breathtakingly large number of our campus and JPL community. The Caltech Common Threads Initiative is inviting employees who were on the scene during the first 24 hours to share their stories at roundtable discussions. We would like to hear your story. The first session will be recorded on Earth Day, 22 April 2025, as Caltech Common Threads: After the Fires. These recordings will be later shared publicly as part of the ongoing Common Threads efforts developing human connections within our workplace.

These sessions will be recorded in private and be moderated by skilled professionals. We will explore the stories of everyone who contacts us and wants to share their story. We will be doing this in a series of events. The mission of Caltech Common Threads is to highlight how each of us make up the weave and the strength of the fabric that is Caltech. Please join us!

Please note that this roundtable will be recorded with the intent of sharing participants' stories publicly.
