The Caltech Glee Club and Chamber Singers present a program that will include: Insanae et vanae curae by Joseph Haydn; A Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten, featuring Liesl Erman on harp; Gabriel's Oboe by Ennio Morricone, featuring Michele Forrest on oboe; Dravidian Dithyramb by Victor Paranjoti; and Daniel, Servant of the Lord by Undine Moore, with soloists Weslee Glenn and Mark Kozlowski. Also on the program is music by Salas, Homilius, Michael Haydn, Dickau and Ticheli.
The groups—composed of Caltech students, staff, postdocs, faculty, physicians, JPL employees, alumni, and community members—perform in a wide variety of musical styles and languages, from the Renaissance to the 21st century. The choir presents two full concerts a year and also sings at smaller events on campus. The Caltech Glee Club is a founding member and annual participant of the Pacific Southwest Intercollegiate Choral Association festival.
The concert is free, with no tickets or reservations required.
