Caltech-Occidental Concert Band: Fall Concert

The program for this annual concert will feature the music of Andrew Lloyd Weber (Phantom of the Opera), Charles Ives, and Percy Grainger. There will be two guest conductors on the program. Ben Ubovich, Director of the San Marino High School Instrumental Music, will make his second appearance with the ensemble. Paul Asimow, professor of geology and geochemistry at Caltech, and a favorite of the band and audience, will conduct the American Civil War Fantasy by Jerry Bilik, in observance of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.

The band has appeared at the Great Wall of China, and also on stage at Carnegie Hall.
