Caltech Orchestra and Caltech Glee Club

The Caltech Orchestra and Caltech Glee Club combine to present Borodin's Polovtsian Dances and other choral and orchestra compositions at Caltech in Ramo Auditorium. Nancy Sulahian and Allen Robert Gross will conduct the concert.
The orchestra will feature Piano Concerto in A Minor by Grieg, with pianist Zachary Erickson, the last of this year's Student Concerto Competition winners to be featured with the orchestra. A third year graduate student studying oceanography at Caltech, he also plays horn in the Caltech-Occidental Concert Band and Orchestra and piano in the chamber music program, and is an active collaborative pianist in the Pasadena area.
The Caltech Glee Club and Chamber Singers will be singing:
- Gregorian Chant Salve Regina
- Bach Motet, Lobet den Herrn, BVW 230
- Brahms Motet, Op. 74, No. 2, O Heiland, reiss die Himmel auf
- Music by Rachmaninoff and Chesnokov, Hrusovski
This event is free, with no tickets or reservations required.
This program will also be performed on Saturday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m.
