Summary:
Patents are of particular importance in drug discovery. They are the primary mechanism by which innovator companies can monetize novel drug products. This talk will provide a general, high-level overview of what drug patents are, how innovators obtain and use patents, and how patents are enforced and challenged in court. It will also touch on what it is like working in patent law.
