Center for Diversity Special Program – with Project Runway Designer Alicia Hardesty
Fashion Designer and Project Runway season 10 contestant, Alicia Hardesty, will be presenting a talk about her fashion designs in a special campus program co-sponsored between the Caltech Center for Diversity and the Caltech Women's Club join us from 7:00 to 8:15 on Thursday, January 24 for her talk and there will be models showing some of Alicia's recent work. Project Runway is an American reality television series on Lifetime Television, previously on the Bravo network, which focuses on fashion design and is hosted by Heidi Klum. Judges include Michael Kors, Nina Garcia of Marie-Claire magazine and a variety of guest judges – Diane von Fürstenberg, Vera Wang, Katie Holmes. The contestants compete with each other to create the best clothes and are restricted in time, materials and theme. Their designs are judged, and one or more designers are eliminated each week.
