Elissa Johnston, soprano · Michael Grego, clarinet
This quartet will perform a program that includes the works of Handel, Ravel, Poulenc, Schubert, Bizet, Copland, and Muczynski.
Delores Stevens's recent career engagements have taken her from her Los Angeles base to Argentina, Australia, The Czech Republic, Japan, and China, as well as across the United States. She is artistic director of the Martha's Vineyard Chamber Music Society, a major East Coast chamber music series, and is coartistic director and cofounder of Chamber Music Palisades.
Susan Greenberg enjoys a versatile career as soloist, chamber musician, symphony player, and recording artist. As a member of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, she has been a frequent soloist on both flute and piccolo. Ms. Greenberg has also appeared as guest soloist with the San Francisco and Oakland Symphonies, at the Casals Festival, and at the Hollywood Bowl.
Reported by the Los Angeles Times as "an exciting soprano on the verge of something big," Elissa Johnston has appeared with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Atlanta Symphony, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and the San Francisco Contemporary Players.
A Los Angeles native, Michael Grego is principal clarinetist of the Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra. He is a member of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and performs regularly with the Los Angeles Music Center Opera, Los Angeles Master Chorale, and Long Beach Symphony. He has also appeared with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and the Joffrey Ballet Orchestra.
