Habits save effort by repeating choices that are reliably rewarding. The hidden cost of habits is that new choices which are good may not be tried out, unless people are forced to "experiment". The pandemic forces experimentation and may lead to useful changes-- silver linings-- after it exacts its awful toll.
The 30-minute talk will be followed by a Q&A session with Professor Camerer.
The talk will be moderated by John O'Doherty, Professor of Psychology.
