Joanne Gabrynowicz, Director, National Center for Remote Sensing, Air, and Space Law; Professor, University of Mississippi School of Law,

Membership in the "club" of spacefaring nations continues to increase. And privately funded entrepreneurs are also entering the fray. As the boundaries of exploration push ever outward, what are the rules? Decades of space exploration by a few nations produced established treaties. Today, some of these treaties are challenged by technical and political developments. How is space law adapting? What can we expect in the future? Come hear Joanne Gabrynowicz outline current space treaties and what they mean for exploration.

Dr. Gabrynowicz is an official observer for the International Astronautical Federation to the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space. In addition, she is the organizer and chair of the Federal Advisory Committee for the National Satellite Land Remote Sensing Data Archive. Her students include civilians, government employees, aerospace industry professionals, and officers of the Air Combat, Air Mobility, and Space Commands.

All members of the Campus and JPL communities and retirees are welcome.
