CMA presents "A VIP Tour of the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant"

Date: Saturday, June 23, 2012 Time: 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Place: Avila Beach in San Luis Obispo, CA 93424

CMA is sponsoring an exclusive tour of Pacific Gas and Electric Company s Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. The tour will highlight the plant s steam turbine and generator room, hot water exchange room, and control room simulator. A CMA-chartered bus will transport participants from JPL to Diablo Canyon and back, leaving JPL at 7:00 a.m. and returning to the Laboratory by 9:30 p.m. The event will include a complimentary box lunch at Diablo Canyon; and a catered dinner, at a cost of $15 per person, at the Point San Luis Lighthouse.

The tour is free, but open only to CMA members, who will be selected by lottery because of space limitations (a maximum of 38 people may attend). Those chosen for the tour may each bring one guest. All participants must provide a Government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver s license or passport) at the event. To enter the lottery, please complete the registration form at http://cma.jpl.nasa.gov/event_registration/index.html by Friday, June 8.

If you are not a CMA member, the link will redirect you to the CMA membership form, which should be filled out, then submitted with the $10 payment off line. The form is also available directly at http://cma.jpl.nasa.gov/membership.html. To allow time for processing, submit the membership form and payment by Monday, June 4. Once we have notified you that you are a member, you can register for the lottery.

Lottery participants will be notified of the winners via e-mail, and winners names will be posted to the CMA web site, at http://cma.jpl.nasa.gov/upcoming.html, on Monday, June 11. You need not be present to win.
