Every year, 6000 lives are lost in traffic intersections. Current technology in the field of transportation engineering is antiquated, lacking basic knowledge regarding what areas of intersections are dangerous and how to make them more efficient. Street Simplified is mitigating these problems by modeling traffic intersections in a data-driven way, using modern machine learning techniques. This talk will discuss many of the challenges and opportunities in the space safety analytics.
