New in Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) classrooms this school year are the national Common Core State Standards that describe the knowledge and skills young people need to be successful in college and careers. This lunch-time presentation offers a comprehensive look at classroom teaching that is transforming how and what students learn and the "next generation" of testing. PUSD's teacher-driven revision of the curriculum incorporates 21st century learning skills. The goal? Graduates who think critically, communicate successfully, collaborate effectively, create and innovate.  Get more information at this one-hour session.

Remember to bring your own "brown bag" lunch.

Common Core and Next Generation Assessments is part of a year-long series of lunchtime programs sponsored by Caltech Human Resources in partnership with Pasadena Education Network (PEN) and Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD).
