Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Disaster Medical Ops 2
Location: Central Engineering Services, room 104
Learn how to help yourself, your family, neighbors, and workplace following a catastrophic disaster. Take the CERT training and learn emergency preparedness, and skills to better prepare you in emergency situations. The program covers: Disaster Psychology, Terrorism, Disaster Preparedness, Light Search and Rescue, Fire Safety/Fire Suppression, and Disaster Medical Operations. The CERT class will be taught by Caltech Staff who are professionals in crisis and emergency response.
The CERT classes will be taught using a hybrid approach with both Zoom and in person classes over a period of four months. Participants must be pre-registered, you can take the courses that interest you without committing to the 8 units, but must complete all class sessions to receive a CERT completion certificate.
