Recent progress on the Polynomial Szemeredi Theorem
We discuss progress on the polynomial Szemeredi theorem, which in recent years has received a breakthrough due to Peluse who introduced the technique of "degree lowering." We will emphasize how higher order Fourier analysis enters the polynomial Szemeredi theorem and how common techniques used in the field could be used to tackle the problem and some different variations of the problem.
