Diversity Statement Workshop

Are you currently on the academic job market?

Many academic positions now ask for a diversity statement as part of the application process. In this interactive workshop, find out what makes an effective diversity statement, why you need one, and proven tips for writing your own. We will also discuss strategies for creating inclusive and productive environments for all students. An overarching aim of the session is to motivate discussion to help refine your own philosophy to diversity and inclusion in an academic setting. This workshop is led by Erin-Kate K. Escobar, Assistant Director of the Caltech Center for Diversity, and hosted by the Caltech Postdoc Association.
