Magnetic field and tide of star, planet and moon
Xing Wei, Professor of Astronomy, Department of Astronomy, Beijing Normal University,

Magnetic field and tide are of importance for celestial bodies. In the first part, I will discuss the field-rotation relation of convection dynamo in star, tidal dynamo in binary system, precession dynamo in planet, and collision dynamo in planetesimal. In the second part, I will discuss tidal wave propagation and dissipation, tidal resonance with orbital motion, and tidal inflation of hot Jupiter. Then I will discuss the condition where to find exomoons, and finally the disk instability due to self-gravity.
