Emerging Leaders Program Presents: JPL's Rob Manning

As chief engineer for the Mars Exploration Rovers project, Rob Manning was responsible for developing and managing the entry of Mars rovers Spirit and Opportunity through the Martian atmosphere to a safe landing. Manning will share his experience in leading this exciting and demanding part of the mission and the insight he's gained on managing a technical and scientific staff. A Caltech alumnus, he earned his BS in engineering and applied science in 1982. Admission is free.
