Ethnic Visions Film Series: Letters from Iwo Jima

The Oscar award-winning motion picture Letters from Iwo Jima (2006) tells the story of World War II s Battle of Iwo Jima from the perspective of the Japanese soldiers who fought in it. Professor Robert Rosenstone, host of the series, will lead a post-film discussion and a question-and-answer session with the film s writer, Iris Yamashita, who was nominated for the Best Original Screenplay Academy Award for the film. The screening is free and open to all.
