Faculty Summer Short Course on Course Design - A CTLO Short Course
We're excited to announce that the CTLO will be offering our 4th Faculty Summer Short Course on (Re)Designing your Class
The Faculty Summer Short Course (FSSC) on Course Design has been developed for faculty who are either teaching a new course in the upcoming academic years, or who desire to re-think or re-design a course that they have previously taught. Facilitated by Dr. Jenn Weaver, Associate Director of University Teaching at the CTLO, the FSSC is a 4-session short course offered annually by the CTLO since 2016, addressing the process of "backwards design" from start to finish. Topics include learning outcomes, active learning, assessments, overall class structure, and inclusive classroom practices. By the end, faculty will have a solid plan for their class.
This course will be held on September 10th, 12th, 17th and 19th from 12:15pm-1:45pm at the CTLO (CSS360).
Please RSVP (required) for the entire 4-session course at https://caltech.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6EGisqUiXiMraND. Please note that participation is capped at 15 faculty and the RSVP survey will be closed once capacity is reached.
