First observation of triple boson production at CMS

I present the first ever observation of triboson production at the LHC. The result further extends our understanding of electroweak and Higgs physics in the standard model of particle physics, and opens a new window to studies of anomalous gauge couplings and searches for evidence of physics beyond the standard model. A signal significance of 5.9 sigma is achieved and the production cross section is measured to be 1.02 +- 0.26 times the prediction from the standard model.
