The Double Copy of Electric-Magnetic Duality

I will show that the isometry group of asymptotically flat spacetimes contains, in addition to the BMS group, a new dual supertranslation symmetry. The corresponding conserved charges are akin to the large magnetic U(1) charges in QED and they reveal a rich topological structure of spacetime, which I will describe in this talk. In particular, I will discuss an "electric-magnetic" type of gravitational duality and its action on scattering amplitudes.
