Randomness in conformal field theories
Moshe Rozali,
University of British Columbia,
We discuss attempts to extend the treatment of excited states as pseudo-random to the spectrum of two-dimensional conformal field theories, focussing on eigenvalues repulsion. This requires carefully separating out the aspects of the spectrum dictated by symmetries, including modular invariance. Our results indicate that notions of quantum chaos can be extended to CFTs and more generally to spatially extended systems with local interactions.
The talk is in 469 Lauritsen.
