Existence and Stability of Euclidean Wormholes with $S^1\times S^2$ Boundaries
Xiaoyi Liu, UC Santa Barbara,

We study Euclidean Einstein gravity coupled to massless complex scalar fields in 4 dimensions with $S^1 \times S^2$ boundaries.  We find three families of solutions: wormholes, thermal AdS, and black holes.  The wormhole phase appears only for sufficiently large scalar sources with momentum on the boundaries.  The wormhole dominates at even larger source amplitudes, above a Hawking-Page-like transition.  We further study the stability (existence of negative modes) for the wormhole solutions.

The talk is in 469 Lauritsen.
