This class will focus on basic to intermediate techniques which will be applied to bronze and possibly some silver figures. The emphasis will be on technique, not on figures. Some of the subjects we will be dealing with are:

  1. Foxtrot rise and fall
  2. Creating space to dance outside partner
  3. Leading and following proper heal turns
  4. Major similarities and differences between waltz and quickstep
  5. Connections and the subtle ways in which the frame changes through linear actions
  6. Where the connections points are in body contact
Other topics will be covered as well, and the instructor is open to requests from the class as long as there is consensus in the group.
