Intermediate West Coast Swing Dance Class
Winnett Lounge
The official state dance of California, West Coast Swing has evolved from its roots as an offshoot of Lindy Hop into a versatile dance that can be performed to a wide variety of music including blues, rock and roll, pop, and R&B. Danced traditionally in a slot where the leader dances in place while the follower travels back and forth, WCS allows for a full array of moves from other social dances, including East Coast Swing, Salsa, and Hustle, to be adapted to its own unique style.
Our four-week class, starting April 12, is taught by renowned professional instructor and top-ranked competitor Doug Silton.
Meant for those who took our 2009 beginner WCS class, or already know WCS basics like the Sugarpush, Left Side Pass, Underarm Turn, Whip, Tuck Turn, and Inside Roll.
$5 for students and Caltech affiliates; $10 for everyone else.
