International Scholar Orientation

Orientation is offered for new international scholars at Caltech.  All first time J-1 Exchange Visitors are required to attend orientation.  All other new scholars, spouses/partners, and families are welcome to attend. 

AGENDA:

• Refreshments and Check-In     8:45 AM – 9:00 AM

• Immigration Orientation     9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

We will provide information about regulations affecting your immigration status in the United States. 

• Relocation and Adjustment Orientation     10:15 AM – 11:30 AM

We will provide information to assist you and your family as you transition to life in Pasadena.  Topics such as housing, driver's licenses, schools, child care, social life, networking, banking and more will be addressed.
