IQIM Postdoctoral and Graduate Student Seminar
Abstract: I'll discuss an exactly solvable model for two-dimensional topological superconductor with helical Majorana edge modes protected by time reversal symmetry. Our construction paves the way to study the effect of strong interaction in topological superconductors, and can be generalized to construct new strongly interacting fermionic topological phases without a non-interacting limit. It also gives an explanation to why there are no nontrivial short-range-entangled phases for spinless fermions in two dimensions.
The IQIM Seminar Committee is excited to announce that the IQIM seminar will have a new format this year. Seminars will take place at lunch on Fridays, with food served beginning at 12 noon. There will not be a break halfway through the talk. More details on the mission of the seminars and the new format can be found on the IQIM website
