IQIM Postdoctoral and Graduate Student Seminar
Abstract: Light possesses an outstanding potential to control material properties on demand on the timescale of an ultrafast laser pulse. In this talk, I will show my recent attempt to use a sub-gap strong-field pump to control the electronic properties of Ca2RuO4, a prototypical multiband Mott insulator. I will show evidence for control over photoexcited holon-doublon pair distribution under Keldysh-parameter tuning and transient bandwidth broadening induced by an interplay between dynamical Wannier-Stark localization and multiband hybridization. These studies pave the way of investigating nontrivial light-induced phases in Mott insulators.
