This program takes a ride with the rains from the wettest place in Europe—the Norwegian town of Bergen where it rains 265 days a year—to the wettest country in the world, India, where 25 billion tons of water fall each day during the monsoon period. Following the route of the Thermohaline Conveyor, we come to the warm seas of the Caribbean and the awesome power of floods. In Texas, the opposite is true; there is no rain, which is why local farmers are hoping to manufacture it. [A BBC/TLC co-production.]

William C. Patzert of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory will introduce the film and guide the post-screening discussion.

Recommended for grades 3 through 12.
