Greek-American soprano Jamie Chamberlin has been recognized as one of the premiere singing actresses of her generation. Recently, she was granted the Special Encouragement Award at the 2007 MONC Western Regional Finals. Earlier in 2007, she received Third Place in the Inaugural Jose Iturbi International Music Competition in Los Angeles, and in November of 2007 she participated in the Seoul International Music Competition in South Korea as one of 46 young singers from around the world. As an artist in the prestigious Merola Opera Program in San Francisco, she received critical praise for her portrayal of Anne Sexton in Susa's Transformations, and for her sparkling Merola Grand Finale performance on the stage of the War Memorial Opera House in 2006. Ms. Chamberlin made her professional debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic in 2004 singing the soprano solo in the world premiere of Esa-Pekka Salonen's monumental orchestral work Wing on Wing. Since arriving in the United States in 1996, violinist Anna Kostyuchek has established herself as an important contributor to musical life in Los Angeles, performing with such legends as Stevie Wonder, Burt Bacharach and Tony Bennett, appearing in Elton John's music video "The Heart of Every Girl," and playing in the orchestra for American Idol. Anna has been a member of the Stuttgart Festival Ensemble in Germany for three consecutive years, where she plays under world-renowned conductor Helmuth Rilling. She has also played for Michael Tilson Thomas, David Newman and John Williams. Anna has just returned from a tour of Holland, Germany, Sicily and the Canary Islands with Philharmonie der Nationen. Here in Los Angeles, Anna is a member of the Riverside Philharmonic, as well as the Los Angeles Master Chorale and Santa Cecilia orchestras. She has also performed with the Pasadena Symphony and Pasadena Pops Orchestra, as well as with the Operetta Foundation and Center Stage Opera.
Pianist Victoria Kirsch maintains a varied professional schedule that includes national and international performing, work with major and regional opera companies, extensive audition playing, private coaching and university teaching. In 1998, she began an extensive collaboration with Julia Migenes (Carmen in the 1984 film with Plácido Domingo) on the celebrated soprano's one-woman show, Diva on the Verge. Ms. Kirsch has played Diva on the Verge at L'Opéra Comique in Paris, the Peacock Theatre in London, L'Opéra de Monté Carlo in Monaco, Hawaii, San Francisco and the East coast, in addition to sold-out runs at the Odyssey Theatre in West Los Angeles. Recent tours have included shows in Australia and New Zealand.
