Reflect on a historic year for Caltech and the world with Provost David Tirrell. In this members-only virtual gathering, discover how Caltech scientists and engineers united to battle COVID-19, overcame challenges to research and education, and how the Associates Provost's Discretionary Fund supported these endeavors.

Are the Batteries of Today the Batteries of Tomorrow? presented by Assistant Professor Kimberly See. The world relies on rechargeable Li-ion batteries to power cell phones, electric vehicles, and even satellites in space. Yet Li-ion technology is nearing its theoretical limits. Learn about Assistant Professor Kimberly See's efforts to invent a battery that is safer, lower in cost, and essential to enterprising green technologies such as electric aircraft. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A moderated by Provost Tirrell.
