Permuted Random Walks
I will discuss how permuting the states of a random walk after each step can effect the speed at which the random walks moves. In some cases it is possible to slow down the walker, but there are limits to what can be done, and in the case of regular trees no slow down is possible, and many settings remain open. Based on joint work with Jacob Richey, Yinon Spinka and Amir Yehudayoff.
