Lark String Quartet Concert
As part of its 30th Anniversary Tour, the Lark Quartet will visit Southern California during the second week of March. Concerts are scheduled in Pacific Palisades and Pasadena, and the quartet will also offer a master class to students in the Caltech Chamber Music Program.
The quartet will perform Claude Debussy's Quartet in G Major and a commissioned work, Ce morceau de tissu…for two string quartets by Andrew Waggoner. The four founding members of the Lark Quartet will join the current quartet for the Waggoner work. The work was commissioned for the quartet's 30th anniversary with generous funding provided by The Mai Family Foundation and The Thelma Hunter Fund of the American Composers Forum.
The concert is presented by the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences for the benefit of students in the music history and theory courses, and the Caltech and larger communities.
This event is free and open to the public.
