The complex geometry of Teichmüller spaces and bounded symmetric domains
Stergios Antonakoudis, Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics, University of Cambridge,

We will study isometric maps between Teichmüller spaces and bounded symmetric domains in their intrinsic Kobayashi metric. From a complex analytic perspective, these two important classes of geometric spaces have several features in common but also exhibit many differences. In this talk, we will focus on a series of new results we recently proved in our work on this topic, which settle a long-standing problem in Teichmüller theory and suggest new directions to pursue in the future.
